What we hold, and why
The launch list
Your email address, because you asked to hear when a watch is launched. We hold it on your consent and we write to you about launches and nothing else. Ask and we delete it.
A service request
Your reference, your email address and what you tell us the watch needs, so we can quote for the work and do it. We hold it to perform the contract with you and to keep the record of what has been done to a watch we made.
An application for a commission
Your name, your email address and what you write to us. We hold it to decide whether to take the commission on and, if we do, to make the artwork. It is used for nothing else and it is never published.
The register
The reference, name, dial and year of every watch we finish. It carries no personal data and it stays for as long as the watch exists.
What you write
An application asks you to write about your life, and we read every word of it. That is the point: the artwork is made from what you write, so someone has to read it properly. It is read by us and by nobody else, and it is never published.
It is also the only place on this site where you might tell us something sensitive: an illness, a bereavement, a belief. Anything of that kind is processed on the explicit consent you give by sending it. Withdraw that consent at any time and we delete what you wrote.
Who else sees it
Only the services that run this site: Vercel for hosting, Upstash for storage, Resend for email. They process it on our instructions. Some of them process data outside the European Economic Area under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Nobody else sees it. We do not sell it, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
- The launch list, until you ask us to remove you.
- An application we decline, twelve months.
- An order and its writing, ten years, because Italian tax law requires us to keep the record of a sale that long.
- A service record, for as long as we service the watch.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and carries no tracking. It stores one thing in your browser: what you have typed into the writing field, so it is still there if you move between pages. It never leaves your browser until you send it, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to what we do with it, or to have it sent to you in a portable form. You may withdraw consent at any time. Write to atelier@lindenaer.com and we will answer within one month.
If you think we have handled your data badly you may complain to the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, the Italian supervisory authority, or to the one where you live.
Decisions
No decision about you is made automatically. A person reads every application.
